7-Apr-45 Duneberg - Neumunster. 389th Commander Lt. Col. Herboth and crew killed after a Me-109 flown by Uffz. Heinrich Rosner, (ex-III/JG.10) "Sonderkommano Elbe"
collided with lead ship and then careened off to hit the deputy lead aircraft as well.
Uffz. Heinrich Rosner survived the attack.
I have used the History Channel Excellent "Dogfights" Luftwaffe Deadliest Mission Part 1 as reference as I cant find any actual pix for this plane so please forgive any historical in-accuracies.
